IS A LAUNCH FACTORY
THAT DEPLOYS DANGEROUS IDEAS
The most powerful companies in the world (from aerospace to AI) are often the hardest to understand. World-changing work, and almost no one outside the building can feel what it means. The technology races ahead, the story gets left on the launchpad.
Mission Systems (missionsystems.io) is my answer to that. I built a satirical aerospace company, then made it real. Under the tagline "We launch stuff," Mission Systems can launch anything and everything, voiced through a defense and aerospace lens. Proof I can build a distinct world for any brand.
Because every rocket, every autonomous system, every ambitious company runs on mythology as much as engineering. Mission Systems is where I build that mythology from scratch. The name, the voice, the visual identity, the artifacts, the belief, the universe. I can turn hard, ambitious things into something people raise, recruit, and rally behind.
Here’s how I did it.
First I built a following
Rooted in the engineering, defense and aerospace community on Instagram (@missionsystems), I posted culturally relevant content that appealed to my base.
Then I launched the brand
Once the community was established, I introduced the tagline “We launch stuff” and positioned Mission Systems as a creative studio that launches anything and everything (as long as it’s dangerous).
Then I started launching stuff
First fake products…
Then real products
A joke about a nuclear briefcase became an actual nuclear briefcase in an actual gallery. I build worlds until they're real. Imagine that pointed at a company that already is.
Introducing Operation Nuclear, an EMP-shielded nuclear briefcase guarding the board game Operation. Play safe!
Operation Nuclear was included in the art exhibition:

As if that wasn’t enough, Mission Systems even became a TV pilot.
A fake company, real enough to build a story on.
